Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of our facility.  They will provide administrative support to the operations staff, the administration team, and the area manager.  The position encompasses a wide range of administrative and service-oriented responsibilities, including coordinating operations, customer service, and system support.  

 

You will act as a central point of contact for both internal teams and external clients, delivering high-quality support and fostering a positive experience for all stakeholders.  As a key member of the Facility Administration team, you will also lead by example and uphold SECURE’s core values and principles in every interaction. 

 

This role is based out of Redwater, Alberta

The Team

You’ll be part of a collaborative, hands-on team that works closely across operations, administration, and leadership to keep the facility running smoothly. The team values accountability, strong communication, and a supportive approach that encourages everyone to contribute to shared success.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Redwater, Alberta, operating in a fast-paced, operational facility. The environment requires strong organization and adaptability, with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and supporting day-to-day site activities.

A Day in The Life

  • Coordinate truck loading and offloading with operators 
  • Manage all driver and load-related paperwork on site, including sorting, filing, scanning, and sending completed documentation to Admin daily 
  • Accurate data entry into the computerized system with special attention to accuracy and timelines 
  • Create and manage customer setups, waste profiles, and work orders as required 
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of waste and material changes 
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, including scheduling and documentation 
  • Monitor and manage waste inventory and tracking of inbound and outbound materials 
  • Order, receive and maintain accurate inventory records, including purchases, deliveries, stock levels and costing, to support uninterrupted operations 
  • Create and maintain waste reports, tracking disposal, recycling, and reduction activities across the facility 
  • Ensure a focus on quality, service excellence and efficiency within areas of responsibilities 
  • Regularly participate in safety meetings to support workplace compliance 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Grade 12/GED 
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative/accounting experience 
  • Good time management and organization skills and ability to work effectively under pressure, meet demanding deadlines, & multi-task 
  • Ability to handle multiple changing priorities 
  • Solid ability and experience working in a team-based environment 
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills 

The following are considered assets in this role: 

  • Administration or Accounting Certificate/Diploma would be considered an asset
