Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Receptionist you will be responsible for r a broad range of service functions that support efficient and effective office operations. Key areas of responsibility include front desk administration, operational support, customer service, accounts payable, as well as training and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is an integral part of the team, playing a key role in creating a positive first impression and modeling SECURE’s core values and principles in interactions with both clients and employees.

 

This role is based out of Red Deer, Alberta

The Team

You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values open communication, accountability, and a shared commitment to operational excellence. The team works closely together to ensure a seamless office experience while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced, service-oriented environment that requires strong prioritization, adaptability, and attention to detail to support both office and operational needs effectively. This position is offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing an opportunity to contribute meaningfully while gaining exposure to SECURE’s operations and culture.

A Day in The Life

  • Coordinate on-site orientation documentation and reviews for visitors and contractors, including PPE control and issuance
  • Provide efficient day-to-day administrative support to the operations team
  • Maintain organized files, documents, and reports as required
  • Meet month end deadlines and ensure accurate operational reporting
  • Share relevant information and correspondence with the operations team in a timely manner
  • Ensure office supplies are stocked, equipment is maintained, and the workspace remains organized
  • Ensure kitchen supplies are stocked, equipment is maintained, and the kitchen remains organized
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and professional manner
  • Manage document control processes
  • Oversee requisitions, purchase orders, and receiving for office and plant supplies
  • Liaise with vendors and external service providers
  • Enter work orders into the operating system and generate invoices
  • Develop meeting agendas, coordinate meetings, record and transcribe minutes, and track action items
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
  • Perform other general administrative duties as required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in an industrial or office setting, or be a recent graduate of a post-secondary office administration program
  • Previous administrative experience considered an asset
  • Strong vernal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Work, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and adapt to changing priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
