Your Opportunity at SECURE

To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, and hands on Parts Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Parts Technician will be primarily responsible for planning and communicating with the Maintenance Shop and other internal customers on the status of parts and supplies.

The Team

The successful candidate will work with all levels of organization and adhere to company standards and processes in the completion of all documentation associated with parts and supplies

Work Environment

This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.  OT eligible with approval.

A Day in The Life

  • Assist with daily INV Management
  • Work in a CPU based inventory management
  • Maintain communication with other departments to ensure timelines of all in and out parts
  • Yard duties such as cleaning up and reorganization as required/ instructed
  • Accurately put stock away
  • Receive shipments by checking packing slips, counting items, and reconciling variances
  • Stock Room organization by manufacturer and application
  • Pre-packing and delivery of parts to technicians
  • Assist purchase with parts ordering as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills
  • High degree of quality regarding; attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Independent work skills within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to continuous improvement and learning
  • Strong social communication skills with the ability to communicate with diverse types of people accurately and effectively
  • Confident, resourceful, and highly motivated, can work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Parts Technician Certificate is preferred but not required
  • A minimum of one (1) year in a similar role
  • Experience with maintenance software (TMT Fleet Maintenance program)
  • Background or genuine interest in heavy equipment, HWY Equipment, and the industry as a whole
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license
  • High level of organization and planning
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal; including telephone aptitude and the ability to interface with suppliers and personnel at all levels within the Company
  • Competency with computer applications
  • A high degree of professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality
