Your Opportunity at SECURE

The Supervisor, Rail Services is primarily responsible for the supervision of rail jobs within the province of Alberta.

The Team

Assist in Leading a team of 3 – 6 as well as sub-contractors; Supervise all SECURE Operations and Third-Party Contractors 

Work Environment

This hands-on position is On-Call 24/7 for all rail disruptions in Alberta. This position may also be responsible for responding to other provinces, i.e. BC and Saskatchewan, when required. 

A Day in The Life

  • Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followed;
  • Actively participate in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessments etc;
  • Expected to supervise immediate response along with the clean-up of the site. Responsible for traveling to sites and could be away from home location for longer periods of time (i.e. two weeks)
  • Assist in Leading a team of 3 – 6 as well as sub-contractors; Supervise all SECURE Operations and Third-Party Contractors 
  • Expected to respond to Rail Emergencies and planned work with a hands on approach; 
  • Meet with railway clients and new customers to enhance business opportunities;
  • Project Management duties as required and when time permits;
  • Accurate monthly billing;
  • Building strong employee and customer relations;
  • Maintain and track equipment to ensure location is noted and maintenance on vehicles is adhered to.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 Years experience or related;
  • Able to multitask and work in high stress environment;
  • Direct client liaison / develop relationships;
  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations;
  • Must be able to travel regularly and able to work long hours, late nights and shifts as required;
  • Required to be on call 24-7 for Emergency response;
  • Strong computer skills an asset;
  • Valid and current Class 5 Drivers license.
