Your Opportunity at SECURE

As the Transportation Supervisor, this is your opportunity to play a key role in leading safe, efficient operations while bringing SECURE’s values to life. You’ll support and coach a dedicated team, promote strong health, safety, and environmental practices, and help build a positive workplace culture. Working closely with the Facility Manager, you’ll support training, compliance, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence and clear communication across teams.

Work Environment

The Transportation Supervisor role is structured as a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 40 hours, Monday to Friday. This role requires after-hours on-call availability to assist with operational needs as they arise.

A Day in The Life

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead day-to-day operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with SECURE’s goals.
  • Set clear expectations, coach employees, and conduct progressions and performance reviews.
  • Support the Facility Manager with delegated responsibilities and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Maintain a strong, values-driven workplace culture and provide after-hours support as needed.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion SECURE’s safety culture and ensure adherence to all protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Reinforce SOPs through training, coaching, and ongoing oversight.
  • Maintain operational compliance with environmental and industry standards.

Fleet, Dispatch & Technical Oversight

  • Apply strong Heavy-Duty Truck (HDV) knowledge to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, providing clear guidance to drivers and dispatch teams.
  • Oversee dispatch systems, driver compliance, and dispatcher training to ensure efficient workflows
  • Develop, manage, and oversee truck maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Optimize fleet utilization and maintain asset integrity across all equipment.
  • Provide input on capital equipment purchases based on operational needs and fleet performance.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain high customer service standards across all operational activities.
  • Analyze KPIs and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in transportation-related roles.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 or 1 is considered an asset).
  • Valid industry safety certifications/tickets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide employees effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company-specific applications.
