Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Commercial Development Representative, you will play a key role in advancing SECURE’s growth strategy. This position leads initiatives that drive growth, optimize asset performance, and strengthen SECURE’s competitive position across the North American energy infrastructure market. The role is responsible for identifying and executing new commercial opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring assets deliver sustainable, long-term results.

 

This role is based in Calgary, Alberta.

A Day in The Life

  • Identify, develop, analyze, and market infrastructure opportunities that align with SECURE’s long-term growth plans, while managing the commercial performance and customer relationships of existing midstream assets.
  • Monitor and enhance asset profitability through contract management, cost optimization, and incremental growth initiatives.
  • Develop and leverage relationships with new and existing customers and other key industry representatives.
  • Identify prospects, lead negotiations, and prepare agreements with existing and potential customers and counterparties.
  • Evaluate project economics, prepare management presentations, and present investment opportunities for updates and approvals.
  • Coordinate information with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams comprised of internal departments to produce the scope of work, identify project risks, and produce cost estimates.
  • Interpret, understand, and drive capital and financial models to support business decisions.
  • Gather market intelligence, map competitive projects, and assess industry fundamentals affecting SECURE’s business.
  • Work with Legal in contract development and negotiation, ensuring sound commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to forecast performance, assess investment options, and guide capital allocation decisions.
  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver commercial results on time and within budget.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 8 – 12 years of experience in commercial development, business development or asset management roles within the midstream or energy infrastructure sector.
  • Possess significant experience and business contacts within the North American midstream infrastructure or oil and gas industry.
  • University Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering.
  • Strong negotiation and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and cooperatively lead a team to generate timely, accurate and efficient results.
  • Ability to multitask and work on a wide variety of projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
