Program Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit).

Your Opportunity at SECURE

The Asset Administrative Assistant student role supports the Red Deer team by maintaining accurate asset records, managing documentation, and assisting with reporting, payroll, and invoice processes. This position helps ensure efficient asset tracking and administration while contributing to key projects such as asset location review.

This role is based out of Red Deer, Alberta.

The Team

You’ll be joining our Red Deer Metals team, a supportive and hands-on group that keeps our operations running smoothly by managing assets and supporting day-to-day business needs. It’s a great opportunity to learn how the metals recycling industry works while building practical skills in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment.

A Day in The Life

  • Asset list management and maintenance
  • Spreadsheet creation
  • Fuel tracking, and maintenance cost reporting
  • Documentation creation, review and distribution
  • Invoice review and coding
  • Assisting with payroll and maintenance costing entries

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage data.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
