Your Opportunity at SECURE

Our Production Chemicals team seeks a reliable and safety-focused Driver/Service Hand to operate an F550 deck truck and assist with field operations in the production chemicals sector. This position involves transporting and handling chemical products, chemical program monitoring, and performing routine service and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess experience in oilfield services, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to adhering to safety and environmental standards.

 

This role is based out of Fort St John, British Columbia.

The Team

The Production Chemicals team at SECURE is a hands-on, safety-driven group that supports our customers with reliable service, chemical monitoring, and technical expertise in the field. They work collaboratively to deliver practical solutions that keep operations efficient and compliant.

Work Environment

This role is based in Fort St. John, BC, where field conditions can vary from early mornings to long days and challenging weather. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, offering exposure to both field operations and customer interaction, with safety and teamwork as the foundation of daily work.

A Day in The Life

  • Safely operate an F550 deck truck to transport production chemicals and equipment to and from well sites.
  • Load and unload chemical totes, drums, and other materials using appropriate lifting tools and PPE.
  • Assist with chemical programs, injection, and monitoring at production sites according to customer specifications and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, treatment records, and field documentation.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues in the field.
  • Inspect truck and equipment before and after each shift to ensure safe operation.
  • Follow all DOT, company, and site-specific safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Support warehouse or yard activities as required, including inventory management and housekeeping.

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 or Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record (air brakes endorsement preferred).
  • Minimum 1-2 years of oilfield or industrial driving experience; experience with production chemicals is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently in remote locations and variable weather conditions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit; able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certifications (or willing to obtain).
