Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Technical Sales Representative you will be responsible for maintaining established accounts and to identify and develop new opportunities for SECURE Services, Specialty Chemicals Division. This individual will work towards developing and maintaining client relationships for the Specialty Chemicals Drilling Solutions Group as well as working closely with the other Business units where applicable. This position will report to the Director of Sales, Drilling Solutions.

 

This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta

A Day in The Life

  • Developing and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Interacting with oil and gas operators to determine upcoming opportunities with their current and future drilling programs
  • Continually learning new information and developing an understanding about all Secure offerings.
  • Providing daily and weekly updates to Director, operations and technical team about customer activity, plans and future business
  • Update and maintain sales documentations such as needed
  • Entertaining current and potential clients
  • Attending and representing the organization at local and regional technical and operator conferences
  • Performing other duties as required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years oil and gas industry experience. 
  • Business or Technical degree or diploma preferred but not required
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners and customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Confident, highly motivated and determined with a good business sense and professional manner
  • Prepare sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in alignment with company objectives

The following are considered assets in this role:

  • Drilling rig experience, office or field 
  • Established network within the oil & gas industry, particularly with drilling contractors and operators as well as other service suppliers
  • Strong technical knowledge of drilling fluids, additives, and their applications
