As our Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a key role in driving HR strategy to align with business objectives, partnering with leaders to implement HR strategies that align with business goals, enhance employee engagement, and foster a positive culture. Work Environment

This role is based full-time out of our Brookfield Place - Calgary office.

A Day in The Life

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing HR insights and guidance to support strategic decisions and operational goals.
  • Drive organizational development by partnering with leaders to evaluate and enhance structures, roles, and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering long-term effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal centers of excellence, such as Total Rewards, Learning & Engagement, and Talent Acquisition teams, to deliver solutions in compensation, employee development, workforce planning, and retention strategies.
  • Coach and support leaders in managing employee relations, including performance management, team development, conflict resolution, and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Lead HR initiatives and employee engagement strategies, such as workforce planning, mergers and acquisitions, and talent integration, supporting the company's long-term growth.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend actionable strategies to manage attrition and improve retention.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion, partnering with leaders to build high-performing teams aligned with SECURE’s values and objectives.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in human resources, with direct experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Industry experience in waste management, energy, oil and gas, or renewables is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering strategic HR initiatives that drive business growth and support operational objectives.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, implementing scalable HR solutions that align with current and future business goals.
  • Expertise in attrition management and retention strategies, designing and implementing initiatives that support employee engagement and minimize turnover.
  • Deep knowledge of HR legislation and best practices, ensuring compliance across employee relations, compensation, recruitment processes, and workplace investigations.
  • Advanced project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver timely, impactful solutions in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor leaders, resolve conflicts, and build credibility and trust across all levels of the organization.
